This was done by Government funds and a public road runs on top of this monstrosity, which blocks the Lat and the beauty that we all enjoyed in our school days. Three cheers for Desmond Shaw and three cheers for Tubby Thapur for destroying our heritage."

Tubby was my class fellow who I'd heard worked for the fishery department. His mother was Dolly Jones, the sister of Lennie and Buster Jones. Lennie was (is) in the UK and Buster settled in Bhopal.
